Portfolio - Before & After

A lot can be learned from a "before and after" evaluation of a web site design. The before and after example presented here show the thought and design process behind a re-design of a web site.

Before

Due to inconsistent and poorly implemented navigation it was hard for clients of this custom calendar company to find what they needed on this "home grown" web site. The overall look was not a good showcase for their products. Maintaining the site had also become a chore. The client needed a better site to remain competitive and keep their clients happy.

The site was re-designed from the ground up. An evaluation of required navigation and content was done with a view to continued growth. For increased usability navigation was split between corporate and product information. Product navigation methods were increased and a consistent menuing structure carried throughout the site to help clients easily find the products they were looking for.

The new design included an increased emphasis on company branding and product showcasing. The web site's purpose was established from the first page and flows throughout the site.

The new dynamic, data-base driven web site now includes a content management system for easy updates and new product additions.

The final result is a showcase site, easily navigated, expandable and maintainable, and easy for the clients to use.
